Owner of JDM Counseling Services and Sole Proprietor at Sunflower Psychiatric
Life can be really challenging and we all need help from time to time. I am here for you! I care deeply about every individual's trials and challenges. I want to help you work through whatever barriers have entered your path and help to foster continued personal growth on your life journey. I don't believe anyone should have to face their challenges alone. I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment while meeting you where you are currently at with your needs and in your life.
I'm a dually licensed mental health and alcohol/drug counselor. I work with individuals 18 and older to address concerns including but not limited to: stress, stage of life adjustment, emotional disturbance, grief, coping skill development, chemical dependency/DUI evaluations, addiction, self-esteem, relationships of all kinds, co-dependency, communication skills, depression, anxiety and transitional or adjustment issues.

One of my biggest role models is my uncle, Jack Dross, LMHP, a therapist in the Omaha community who primarily works with adolescents and families. I have always looked up to him and was so touched over the years hearing testimonials from clients and colleagues alike regarding the help and relief he provides through his work. I have always been passionate about helping people, but couldn't picture myself in the medical field, therefore, I knew following in the steps of my namesake was the career path I was meant for.

It was important to me after graduating, to get a wide range of experience with different populations of people in an effort to best help a broad range of individuals through private practice, which was always my ultimate goal. I have worked as a Day program Specialist with Community Alliance in the mental health field and then shifted gears to gain more experience in treating substance use disorders as a Short Term Residential Therapist with Catholic Charities Campus for Hope and a Long Term Co-Occurring Residential Therapist with CenterPointe Campus for Hope.
In 2016, I was approached by a group of amazing women who were opening a new office space and wanted to know if I was interested in beginning my career in private practice. It has been an exciting and educational journey, and I could not be more satisfied with where I have landed.

I look forward to helping you through your own journey to find and live as your happiest, healthiest YOU!
