Theoretical orientation is based on an individual's presenting problems, continuing education and evidence-based practice. Utilization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is common.
Chemical Dependency Evaluations:
Evaluations are necessary following a drug and/or alcohol charge, or as a step toward admission into a higher level of care, such as residential treatment. Assessments used in an evaluation include the Addiction Severity Index (ASI), which is a semi-structured interview and the SASSI-4 Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory.
